What to know about hostage release and Gaza ceasefire:

Hamas has begun releasing Israeli hostages to be reunited with their families as part of President Trump's peace plan to end the war in Gaza . A first group of seven living hostages were transferred first to the Red Cross inside Gaza, and then to Israeli military personnel with whom they made the journey back to Israeli territory.

President Trump arrived in Israel, greeted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the airport, as the hostage transfers continued.
