Police will renew their search for missing four-year-old August “Gus” Lamont at his family’s outback property, nearly two weeks after the initial search was called off.

South Australia Police confirmed that officers and Australian Defence Force personnel will again scour Oak Park Station, around 43 kilometres south of Yunta, where the boy vanished on September 27.

The new effort will focus on an expanded area outside the zone that has already been combed extensively by authorities.

“The search, which will involve police and ADF personnel, will concentrate on an expanded area outside of the zone already searched extensively following Gus’s disappearance on Saturday, September 27,” police said in a statement.
