SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - After a cool start, our temps on the Suncoast warm back to average this week. Our average high is 87°. We have dry air, which means we are truly the Sunshine State. And we have some of the most pleasant weather in the country.

While storms rage in the eastern US and the western US, we have low humidity, sunshine, and a beautiful day at the beach and most of Florida.

Only 19 days are left until we “Fall Back” in the first weekend in November (and lose an hour of sleep!).

At the beaches, skies are sunny and the UV Index will be High. A sunburn is possible in only 30 minutes for unprotected skin. Jellyfish were reported at Lido Beach again Sunday. Rip current risk is Low, but always check the flags at lifeguard stations. Winds Monday are still from the North at 5-15
