Kolkata: N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, is on the way to lead the Tata Group for the third successive term, reports have stated. It not only marks the need felt among the group captains to opt for continuity as the conglomerate prepares itself for expanding its footprint in different businesses, but also is a stamp on the spectacular performance of the group under the soft-spoken former TCS chief. According to media reports, during a meeting of Tata Trusts on September 11, Noel Tata and Venu Srinivasan proposed a five-year term for Chandrasekaran.
