The McDowell County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting Monday at Historic Carson House.

Traditionally, the McDowell County Commissioners hold their regular meeting for October at the historic home, which served as the first seat of county government for McDowell. This meeting will begin at 4 p.m. Monday.

Under appointments, the commissioners will hear an update about the 2027 property reappraisal process from Fred Pearson with Vision Government Solutions. They will hear an update and request from Doug Swaim from the America 250 committee. County officials will receive an update about Historic Carson House from Director Teresa Shadoin.

Under old business, the commissioners will hear updates about planning matters, water projects and capital projects.
