India’s retail inflation eased to over 8 years and 3 months (99 months) low of 1.54% in September, 2025. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) base inflation softened in both the rural and urban segments to 1.07% and 2.04%, respectively, in September.
The CPI-based inflation has now declined to its lowest level after June 2017.
