New Route 611 signs warn drivers not to blow through red traffic signals and cause dangerous head

Signs installed in October 2025 on Route 611 north of Portland warn drivers it will take up to five minutes for the red traffic signal to turn green. The signs were put up after PennDOT received reports that some drivers were not waiting their turn to head through a one-lane section of road that only allows drivers to travel one direction at a time.
