SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - The unseasonably warm and dry weather will continue this week, but we may be in for a pattern change as thunderstorms and possible severe weather will accompany our next cold front Saturday or early Sunday.
High pressure is strengthening over the ArkLaTex today, reinforcing the warm and dry conditions we've had for several weeks. Our humidity is very low, so the morning temperatures will remain comfortably in the 50s and 60s, but daytime highs will run about 10 degrees above average in the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and no rainfall.
High pressure will continue to squeeze us dry and keep the October heat trapped over the region thorugh Friday. Overnight lows will be in the 60s, and daytime highs in the 80s to l
