The Spurs future is exciting. The young team of budding future All-Stars (and one burgeoning mega superstar) has fans harkening back to the “good old days” of Spurs basketball.

Those good old days were great — five titles in fifteen years, the winningest coach in NBA history, and the greatest power forward of all time.

That power forward is Tim Duncan.

Duncan, who managed to keep a low profile on and off court, often has his greatness overlooked as a result of not being “flashy” enough for NBA fans. Even his nickname, “Big Fun,” is a reference to fundamentals as opposed to merriment or amusement.

So, it came a surprise to many to discover that Duncan is the subject of an upcoming documentary.

“The Boy from St. Croix” is premiere at the 32nd Austin Film Festival which runs October 23-3
