Coventry City fans can rest easy in the wake of the news that Steven Gerrard has rejected the opportunity to return to Rangers, safe in the knowledge that Frank Lampard isn’t interested either.
The Sky Blues boss had been on the Scottish club’s radar before they appointed Russell Martin in the summer and has again been linked with a move to Ibrox following the former Southampton and Swansea boss’s sacking.
The Sun's Alan Nixon claimed at the weekend that Lampard had been “sounded out” by Rangers’ hierarchy but insisted he’s taken “no interest” in even discussing a potential move, stating that the 47-year-old head coach is "content" at Coventry and “fully committed” to his position and task in hand at the CBS Arena.
