GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Monday night, the Green Bay school board will discuss feedback it received for making schools safer.
This comes after a Preble High School student involved in a fight was accused of bringing a gun to school in a backpack last month.
Parents are asking for more safety policies.
That’s aside from students in 6th grade and above being required to use clear backpacks and new policies for students on suspension.
The school board is meeting to further discuss some of these ideas and decide which should be prioritized and what type of funding they might need.
Some ideas included metal detectors and wands, as well as additional staffing of school resource officers.
Other considerations include a revised dress code, a closed campus policy, door alarms and expanded men
