Starting Tuesday, parts of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice will be online as part of a multi-year digital transformation project aiming to bring the court system into the 21st century.

The new system will allow court users to file documents, access case information, schedule matters and appearances, pay fees and receive decisions electronically instead of having to go to a courthouse.

Ontario Superior Court Chief Justice Geoffrey Morawetz has been outspoken about the need to modernize the province's justice system and said the change is long overdue.
