Organizers of a “No Kings” rally set for Saturday, Oct. 18 in downtown Reno hope 5,000 to 7,000 attendees show up to oppose Trump administration actions.

A march starts at 11 a.m. from the Bruce R. Thompson Federal Building up Virginia Street to “Believe” plaza, also called City Plaza, where there will be music and speakers.

The event is part of national “No Kings” rallies planned in hundreds of communities across the United States.

“We feel that if we have enough people out on the street, that will give backbone to our senators and congressman to stand up and push back against the regime — and we hope that will occur nationwide,” said Kimberly Carden of Indivisible Northern Nevada.
