The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a two alarm fire that heavily damaged a home in the Boyd's Corner area.

The fire was reported shortly after midnight on Monday, October 13, 2025, in the 100 block of Irongable Drive.

First arriving units reported heavy fire in the rear of a two story home, and a second alarm was called just a few minutes later bringing units from a number of fire companies in both New Castle and Kent counties to the scene.

It took nearly two hours before the fire was declared under control.
