CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — Continued heavy rainfall and damaging winds across the state Monday are pushing trees to the ground and causing power outages.

As of 7:30 a.m. in Tolland, fire officials are asking people to avoid the area of 29 Old Stafford Road, as the road is down to one lane while a tree leans on the wires there.

In Simsbury around 7:45 a.m., police said multiple roads are closed due to trees that fell on wires.
