WASHINGTON —

All remaining Israeli hostages held by Hamas have been released from Gaza, two years after their kidnapping during the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

This morning, 20 hostages were released in two phases and are now on their way back to Israel, where thousands of people are waiting in anticipation.

Photos from the Israeli government provide a first look at some of the hostages, while videos from Gaza City show Red Cross vehicles leaving the region and the hostages returning to Israel after being held for more than 700 days. The freed hostages are being taken from a base in southern Israel to a hospital.
