It remains to be seen if cash will rule everything around the Boulder City Council election on Nov. 4, but it’s clear that the money is rolling in.

Five candidates have reached the maximum of $11,994 in donations — incumbents Matt Benjamin, Nicole Speer and Mark Wallach, and challengers Jenny Robins and Rob Kaplan, according to the city’s most recent election committee filings. Incumbent Lauren Folkerts isn’t far behind at $11,244.52. In the rest of the pack, Aaron Stone has raised $3.185, Rachel Rose Isaacson has raised $1,869.38, Rob Smoke has raised $1,820, Max Lord has raised $1,561.25 and Montserrat Palacios has sought and received no donations.

The individual donation max is $100. Election filing reports are next due on Tuesday.
