Mississippi will see plenty of sunshine today, starting off cool around this morning before warming up into the mid-80s by midafternoon.

Skies will stay clear throughout the day with no chance of rain, and light winds will keep conditions comfortable. By evening, temperatures will gradually fall into the mid-50s under clear skies, setting up for a mild and pleasant night. Overall, it’s a warm, dry fall day across the region.

There is a limited threat for fire danger this afternoon across portions of east and southeast Mississippi due to the combination of low humidity and dry ground conditions. Use caution if burning and heed any local burn bans.
