A man was sentenced to 10 years for meth trafficking in Lee County.
35-year-old Bryson Jamal Whitfield has been sentenced to 10 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to felony trafficking of methamphetamine, District Attorney Jason D. Herring announced.
Senior Circuit Judge Paul S. Funderburk ordered Whitfield to serve the full 10-year term without eligibility for parole or early release. Upon completion of his sentence, Whitfield will be placed on five years of post-release supervision.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, multiple agents with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit assigned to Lee County and Baldwyn arrested Whitfield at the Baldwyn McDonald’s, where they seized more than 55 grams of methamphetamine.
