Drivers heading into British Columbia’s Interior for the Thanksgiving long weekend are being advised to prepare for early winter conditions, with snow expected on two major highway routes.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Friday for Highway 97C, the Okanagan Connector between Merritt and Kelowna, warning of possible snowfall beginning Saturday afternoon and continuing through Thanksgiving Monday. The agency said accumulations could range from two to 10 centimetres, depending on elevation and location.
