US President Donald Trump hailed 'the historic dawn of a new Middle East' as he addressed Israel's Parliament on Monday after the release by Hamas of all 20 living Israeli hostages.

In a speech that was interupted by a protestor, who was quickly removed from the chamber by security, Mr Trump said a peace plan due to be signed in Egypt would herald a 'golden age' for the region.

He spoke of 'a day of profound joy and soaring hope' as he addressed the Knessat, Israel's Parliament, as families of those held hostage by Hamas were reunited with their loved ones amid emotional scenes.
