Brookline.News reports that Chestnut Hill Realty plans to install AI-infused Flock cameras along Independence Drive, which cuts through its Hancock Village apartment complex on the Brookline/West Roxbury line. Naturally, Brookline Police will sign an agreement to access the data, and will share it with Boston Police.

The Supreme Judicial Court ruled in 2020 that such "automatic license-plate readers" are legal and not a privacy invasion, although it cautioned we might get to the point where there are so many of them collecting so much data on everybody's comings and goings that it might have to revisit the issue.
