WASHINGTON — MTV is closing several of its music-focused television channels across the U.K. and other international markets at the end of the year. But the changes do not impact American channels.

According to reports from BBC , five European music channels: MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV and MTV Live will stop broadcasting after Dec. 31.

The main MTV HD channel will stay on air in the U.K., focusing mainly on reality TV programming like “Geordie Shore” and “Naked Dating UK.”
