Police are looking to find a group involved in a Birmingham city centre stabbing which left a teenager with ‘serious injuries’.

West Midlands Police has said it is stepping up its investigation into a stabbing in High Street, near Dale End, which took place around 6pm on Sunday (October 12), leaving a teenager badly hurt.

Emergency services were called to the heart of the city at around 6pm on Sunday (October 12) night.

The ambulance service sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer, a MERIT (Medical Emergency Response Intervention Team) trauma doctor a critical care paramedic and a critical care car to the scene.

They gave a 17-year-old ‘advanced trauma care’ at the scene before he was then rushed to hospital.
