EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - An investigation is underway after a body was found near the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing on Sunday, police confirmed with News 10 Monday afternoon.
Authorities say the body was pulled from the river early Monday morning, just east of Cedar Village.
Police have not released any information about the deceased, including their age or whether they had any affiliation with the school. Family notification is pending.
Officials say they believe there’s “no threat to the public.”
The investigation is being handled by the East Lansing Police Department.
Michigan State University Police assisted in the initial investigation late Sunday night/early Monday morning.
