ITHACA, N.Y. (WETM) — An Ithaca man was arrested on Monday after police said officers were investigating a string of vehicle break-ins inside the city.
Justin Carl, 40, was arrested on Monday, Oct 13, on the following charges: • Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. • Resisting arrest • Obstruction of governmental administration.
Carl's arrest comes after an investigation inside the Green Street Parking Garage, where he was seen walking through an area between the cars by Ithaca Police officers early Monday morning.
The officers, who were in uniform, stopped Carl for questioning to ask about the car break-ins. Police said Carl became confrontational and tried to prevent officers from detaining him. Police told Carl he was under arrest, saying he became more and more
