NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Breast cancer better watch out - because thousands of walkers came out swinging this weekend!
The “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” happened Saturday morning at First Horizon Park in Nashville.
WSMV4’s Amanda Hara was the emcee, sharing the day with so many brave survivors.
Those survivors shared many inspiring stories and walked to raise money for a cure.
About 8,000 people attended the walk and more than $300,000 was raised, according to the American Cancer Society.
All the money raised Saturday will go towards research and resources for breast cancer survivors and their families.
