WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Wichita Fire Department responded to a crash in southeast Wichita Sunday night after a car went airborne for 50 feet.
The crash happened near Funston and Fabrique, near Harry and Woodlawn in southeast Wichita. An emergency caller said the vehicle flew through the air, struck the side of a pedestrian bridge and caught fire.
The fire department said putting the fire out took “extreme care” due to the inability of determining the structural integrity of the bridge.
