BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A weekend shooting at LSU is prompting Governor Jeff Landry to call for enhanced safety measures before the next home game.

The shooting on Saturday night during LSU's homecoming game injured two people.

Baton Rouge Police, one of the two people shot, was the intended target. Neither of the victim's injuries was said to be life-threatening.

On Monday, Governor Landry stated that the violence would not be tolerated.
