On X, formerly known as Twitter, Landry posted:

Today, the flags of the United States and Louisiana will fly at half-staff in honor of Deputy Charles William Riley, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty. May he rest in eternal peace.

The Stassi family said Stassi is now in stable condition but remains in the ICU.
