SCOTT CO., Iowa (KWQC) - Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins shared polling and ballot reminders ahead of the county’s city and school election on Nov. 4.

Tompkins answered some frequently asked questions in a media release:

How can I prepare for Election Day?

Voters can pre-register, meaning a voter’s name and address will appear in voter records on Election Day to speed up processing time at the polls, Tompkins said.

The deadline to pre-register is 5 p.m. Oct. 20. Tompkins said voter registration can be updated online or in the auditor’s office.

How can I have a ballot mailed to my home?

Absentee ballot request forms can be downloaded from the auditor’s website or voters can call 563-326-8631 to request the auditor’s office mail a form, Tompkins said.
