UPDATE: The Monroe County Sheriff's Office found the body of a missing fisherman from Vonore Monday morning.

Sheriff Tommy Jones says crews found James McTyre, 60, in the water after a multi-day search:

"We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. McTyre’s family and friends during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they grieve their loss."

Local 3 is working to learn more about the circumstances of his death.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office thanked all the agencies and individuals who assisted in the search efforts.
