Richard "Rick" Worley, 59, of Ringgold died Thursday, Oct. 9. Now, the Ringgold community is coming together to honor his memory.

Born in Fort Oglethorpe, he was a 1984 graduate of Ringgold High School and a graduate of Vale Tech in Pennsylvania, according to his obituary online.

Worley is most well-known for owning and operating Rick Worley and Son in Ringgold for the past 32 years.

He started working in the family business with his father, Alvin, more than four decades ago.

"Rick was one of the biggest fans of the Georgia Bulldogs (Go Dawgs!)" his obituary says. "Rick sponsored the Ringgold High School Athletic Program and had also helped sponsor the Graysville Elementary children."
