PEMBROKE — The UNC Pembroke Braves celebrated homecoming last weekend with a 52-21 win over the Shorter Hawks. This was the fifth time this season UNCP has scored over 30 points as the offense, led by quarterback Tre Robinson, has proven to be prolific this season. Since losing the opening game at Wingate, the Braves have won six straight and now sit at 6-1.
Offensively, UNCP put on a clinic, totaling 553 offensive yards. The Braves had 326 yards passing and 227 yards rushing in the game.
“I think it’s been team success.” UNCP head coach Mark Hall said. “We have a lot of really good players on the offensive side, guys that can make plays, but the defense does a great job getting us the ball.”
Robinson was electric all game, completing 17-of-23 passes for 296 yards and four touchdowns. H
