Baton Rouge Police believe one person injured in a shooting on Louisiana State University's campus during Saturday's homecoming football game was an innocent bystander.
The shooting took place near Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive near LSU campus. LSU Police were dispatched to the scene at around 8:30 pm, and a campus alert originally went out around 8:40 p.m.
On Monday, Lt. L'Jean McKneely Jr. said at least two different people opened fire during the incident, which resulted in two males sustaining injuries and being hospitalized. No suspects have been taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing, but one of the those injured is believed to be an innocent bystander, McKneely said.
Baton Rouge Police have not released any more details on the incident.
