The Mandel Jewish Community Center of Cleveland in Beachwood announced that it has picked “The Ring,” directed by Adir Miller and Doron and Yoav Pza as the 2025 Jack & Minda Jaffe Audience Award-winning film.
The film was shown at the Cleveland Jewish FilmFest and “selected overwhelmingly as the favorite,” according to a news release. A free encore screening will be held on Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. at the Mandel JCC at 26001 S. Woodland Road.
The film’s story is based on Miller’s own family history and focuses on three generations of a Jewish family with the main character, Arnon, going on a quest to Budapest with his estranged daughter to find a gold ring that his mother, a Holocaust survivor whose health is declining, has said saved herself and him when he was an infant during the war.
