CANANDAIGUA, NY — So you think holding a stein filled with water is easy? Think again.
A stein-holding competition was among the activities as part of The Lake on Canandaigua's celebration of Oktoberfest on Oct. 12.
The Finger Lakes Alpine Band performed as visitors, some dressed in traditional German garb, took part in costume contest, games and, of course, enjoyed food and beer.
Frequentem Brewing Co. supplied some Oktoberfest-style brews that paired with Lake House treats such as crispy pretzel-crusted chicken schnitzel, bratwurst smashburgers, Guinness-braised short ribs and what looked to be a favorite with visitors, black forest sundaes.
