CRAWFORD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — On October 11, officers from the Arkansas Highway Police (AHP) Division of the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) seized 3,000 pounds of marijuana from a commercial motor vehicle during a routine safety inspection on I-40 in Crawford County.
During the inspection, officers found six pallets of marijuana hidden in a load of pool tables. The drugs were valued at over $3.5 million.
The driver, 43-year-old Steve Williams, was believed to be traveling from California to Florida. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and simultaneous possession of a firearm.
