RACELAND, Ky. (WSAZ) - Two men part of an organized crime ring involving drug trafficking, drug possession, and dealing in stolen automobiles throughout Greenup County were arrested, according to the Raceland Police Department.
Police said the two men were arrested in Wurtland.
The arrests happened at the end of a year-long investigation into their activities by the Raceland and Russell Police Departments with assistance from the Flatwoods Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), police said.
Ray Burks Jr., 68, of Wurtland, and Asa Mayse, 54, of South Shore, were arrested and are now being held in the Greenup County Detention Center, according to police.
