GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A 17-year-old was cited on multiple charges Friday night after Grand Island police found him in possession of both alcohol and a pistol while at Grand Island Senior High.
Grand Island Police officers responded to Northwest High School around 8 p.m. for a suspicious activity report. School administration contacted police after students reported that the teen had said he had alcohol in his vehicle.
Police tracked the teen’s vehicle to Grand Island Senior High, where they located the 17-year-old in the stands during the GISH football game.
GIPD said officers detected the smell of alcohol on his breath and conducted a search of the teen’s vehicle. During the vehicle search, officers discovered both alcohol and a loaded pistol.
