A suspect in an armed robbery in East Porterville has been arrested.

Alejandro Sanchez, 31 of Porterville, was arrested.

On Saturday Lemoore Police pulled over Sanchez for an armed robbery two days earlier.

He was booked into the Kings County Jail awaiting transport back to Tulare County.

Around 10:40 a.m. on Friday, Tulare County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the Cosecha Recycling Center in the 1300 Block of East Springville Ave in Porterville for an armed robbery.

When Deputies arrived, they learned a suspect had walked into the business armed with a gun and demanded money. The suspect then pistol-whipped the employee, causing cuts to the face and teeth to be knocked out. The suspect ran away from the scene before Deputies arrived.
