Since she was a teenager, Rebecca Bonner dreamed of opening a creative space where she could find belonging and artistic expression.

In July 2024, Bonner cut the ribbon for Radness Ensues, a community space at 3837 River Road N. that empowers youth through the arts. Now, the nonprofit offers multiple programs, including music lessons, a free crafts station, and weekly concerts.

Bonner said the nonprofit serves up to 1,000 people. Thirty people volunteer to help run Radness Ensues by teaching art and music, developing programs, and helping fundraise.

In August, Radness Ensues launched its latest fundraising campaign. Bonner is asking community members “to be one in a thousand,” seeking 1,000 donors who will contribute $5 a month. Around 60 have already contributed.
