A child passenger on a UTV was killed when the driver lost control and rolled into a ditch in western Wisconsin over the weekend.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office says two juveniles were traveling on the UTV on 250th Street south of 20th Avenue in Farmington when the child who was driving the 2013 Polaris Ranger XP rolled into a ditch just after 7 p.m. Saturday.
The child passenger airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where they were pronounced dead.
The driver was taken to a hospital by private vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say neither child was wearing a seat belt or a helmet,
The crash is under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
