The Dayton’s Holiday Market is expanding this winter from downtown Minneapolis to a southwest suburb.
Southdale Center will welcome a Dayton's Holiday Market pop-up featuring more than 50 local vendors from Nov. 20 through Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, the Edina mall announced on Monday.
It's somewhat of a homecoming for Dayton's, an anchor tenant when Southdale opened in the mid-'50s.
"Dayton’s has an iconic history as a landmark retail destination in Minneapolis, as well as once a Southdale Center staple," the mall said in a statement. "Dayton’s was one of the original anchor stores at the first indoor shopping center in 1956."
Gimme Gimme Pottery, Solid Design Studio, Marlo Graham, Heritage Gear, Silky Fudge, Molly Pepper and Here’s the Deal Spice Company are among the vendors selling the
