BEAUMONT, Texas — As work continues on the Interstate 10/U.S. 69 Interchange Project in Beaumont, contractors are moving into the next phase that will reduce the I-10 westbound frontage road to one lane from Gladys Avenue to Laurel Avenue beginning Monday, Oct. 13, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The change is part of TxDOT’s ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and infrastructure through the multi-year interchange project, which aims to modernize one of the region’s busiest highway intersections.
Motorists are encouraged to plan for possible delays and to exercise caution in the construction zone.
