EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Mickey’s Kingdom Park was supposed to open this week after maintenance work, but officials say that won’t be happening.

According to the park officials, they hit a snag mid-week, so the playground will stay closed through Saturday, October 18.

“Please do not go through the barricades,” said a park officials on Facebook. “We want everyone to stay safe and can’t wait to see you back next weekend when we reopen with a brand-new surface.”

Along with resurfacing, brand new equipment is also being installed.
