WARRICK CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Warrick County School Corporation Superintendent Dr. Abbie Redmond began Monday’s school board meeting with an announcement about the district’s newest approach to school safety.
The district will implement the CEIA OpenGate system, and it will cost the district $300 thousand.
This change was prompted by recent safety concerns, most recently, when a student brought a gun to Castle High School
“As a parent, with that happening right after the school lockdown, just like a week or two prior, it was really scary and nerve wracking,” Castle Parent Abbi Patrick said. “No student should have to have that experience.”
