A south Minneapolis restaurant is in need of some TLC following an apparent attempted break-in that damaged its storefront.

Tender Lovin' Chix shared on social media that someone tried to break into its restaurant at 2700 Lyndale Ave. S. late Sunday or early Monday.

"We’ve been putting a lot of time and love into building something special for our community — a space for everyone to enjoy, connect, and feel proud of," the restaurant wrote in a Facebook post. "It’s disheartening to see that some people are choosing to tear down or vandalize what we’ve worked so hard to create."

The Minneapolis Police Department confirmed Monday afternoon that it's investigating reported damage to property outside of the business.
