ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The roar of engines and cheers of a united racing community filled WesTx Abilene Raceway as friends, family, and fans came together to celebrate Scott Mac, a four-time NHRA national champion and world record holder who is courageously battling stage 4 metastatic melanoma.
Held as a birthday bash benefit, the event was more than just a race; it was a tribute to a man who has given so much to the sport. Proceeds from the race, T-shirt sales, a silent auction, and donations are going toward Scott's medical bills.
