COLUMBIA - Burrell Behavioral Health is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Columbia on Oct. 21.
The center, Burrell’s second in Columbia, will expand crisis services to Boone County and much of mid-Missouri with three times as much square footage, 72 hours of care that is more than triple available at the existing crisis center, and more over treatment access and care for individuals in the Boone County Jail.
Funding for the center came from the City of Columbia allocated $3 million from the American Rescue Plan Act.
